Gunnedah Online Eisteddfod

Registrations for the 2020 Gunnedah Online Esisteddfod are now closed. With 634 particpants this will be a grand event! Entrants are encouraged to keep practicing and reminded submissions are due between the 10-21 June.

With COVID-19 forcing the cancellation of many of Australia’s arts and cultural events in 2020, the Gunnedah Eisteddfod Society sought to provide a performance and competition outlet for musicians young and old.

And with that, the Gunnedah Online Music Eisteddfod 2020 was born! It’s a great incentive for musicians to keep practising hard, and to work towards short-term milestone goals – both for fun, and for those embarking on AMEB exams later this year.

In keeping with the government’s current restrictions, most sections this year are only for solo performers. We also have a great variety of special new sections for golden oldies (65+), pre-schoolers, performers with special needs, sibling duets, and the fabulous ‘Family/Household Entertainment’ section where you can get creative with everyone in your home – and be in the running to win some great prize money!
