Toy Choir Launch

The Conservatorium is excited to announce Toy Choir will run Monday Afternoons 4-5:30PM in Terms 3 & 4 (from July 25th - December 5th 2022) in partnership with The House That Dan Built.

Toy Choir is a cross-age ensemble for girls aged 9-14. Members will learn to write their own music using the ukulele. The  independent youth ensemble is dedicated to excellence in choral ensemble work and the development of young artists in singing, song writing and performance.
Over the last two-and-a-half years we have run a number of AKIN workshops with The House That Dan Built and the Toy Choir is an extension of those workshops. The AKIN Program creates opportunities for arts participation in targeted rural communities for girls. Gunnedah Conservatorium is proud to partner with like-minded non-profit organisation The House That Dan Built to deliver this program locally and create an opportunity for every girl who puts her hand up saying, "I want to learn to use my voice."

Scholarships for this program are available and can be applied for in the following registration link.

Local business and organisations interested in supporting this program through its tax-deductible sponsorship program should contact Rebecca Ryan director@gunnedahconservatorium.com for more information.
