Snugglepot and Cuddlepie Update: 19 June

Thank you to everyone who has completed the survey regarding your ongoing involvement in Snugglepot and Cuddlepie. We are very excited that most of the cast have indicated their ongoing commitment to the show.

If you haven't completed the survey yet please do so as soon as possible https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RRZKX63

If you have questions you'd like answered before completing please call me (Rebecca) on 0414 805 176.

How did you all go with the Cast Member Challenge?

Remember we asked you to write a profile or draw a picture of your character. Think about how your character would dress. Use the script to find out more about your character:

Do they have parents?
Where do they come from?
How old are they?
Do they live in the bush, the city, or the sea?
How do they met Snugglepie and Cuddlepie?

Please scan or photograph what you have written or drawn and email to  director@gunnedahconservatorium.com.au

There were some questions from those who have completed the survey. Maybe you are wondering the same thing? Here are the questions and answers:

Question: Will we be getting back to normal (as in performing as a group) before term 3?
Answer: Over the last couple of weeks restrictions and guidelines have been changing very quickly and we are following these closely. However, it seems unlikely that we will be able to get the whole cast together before the end of the term which means our first bigger rehearsals will not happen until Term 3. If this changes we will let you know as soon as possible.

Question: Do we need to provide our own costume?
Answer: We have a budget for costumes and will develop costume ideas for all characters. We may ask for some assistance to sources some parts of the costume or simple sewing/gluing. You do not need to provide your own costume.

Question: Am I able to help backstage?Answer: Yes. Cast members will have to help a little backstage and be involved in making sure they are ready to come on at the right time. And we might need a couple of parents to assist as well. We will let you know more when we have a performance schedule confirmed.

Question: Can you keep in mind HSC exam dates in October and November?Answer: Yes - we hope the production will be at the end of Term 3 or very early in Term 4

Keep reading your script and familiarising yourself with the story. We will have a roster for rehearsals for the rest of term once all surveys are returned.
