Tony McManus has extended and transcended the parameters of
contemporary Celtic music. Ranked alongside the guitar world’s all-time greats, his fiendishly dexterous and dazzlingly original playing draws on traditions from the entire Celtic diaspora – Scotland, Ireland, Brittany, Galicia, Asturias, Cape Breton, and Quebec – along with flavours such as jazz and Eastern European music.
He has an uncanny ability to transpose the delicate, complex ornamentation of traditional bagpipe or fiddle tunes – even the phrasing of a
Gaelic song – onto his own six strings.
Joining him in a rare collaboration is Golden Fiddle and South Australia Music
Hall of Fame Award winner Andrew Clermont. He brings soaring fiddle, mandolin, and guitar skills, backed by nearly 30 years of experience in his musical supper club from around the world!
Andrew is also planning to survive Tony's wealth of humour; he's carefully, and not so carefully, extracted from his world travels.
