Junior Musical Theatre is a year-long performance program for young people who love to sing, act, dance and tell stories on stage.
Led by Conservatorium Director Rebecca Ryan and specialist vocal instructor Jamie Brown, students work together throughout the year to develop their singing, acting, movement and musical theatre performance skills.
Each week builds on the last. As students grow in confidence and ability, they learn how to rehearse as an ensemble, develop characters, prepare performance material and contribute to a shared production.
During the year, students take part in rehearsals, workshops and performance opportunities, while also gaining practical experience behind the scenes and learning more about how a production comes together.
Enrolment is for a calendar year, with fees paid by the term. This allows the group to develop together and ensures every student can take a meaningful role in rehearsals and performances.
Places are limited. New students may be able to join during the year, depending on availability and where the group is up to in its rehearsal and performance program. Please contact the Conservatorium to enquire about current vacancies.
